“Rhema” Jordan Labbe is a contemporary visual artist currently based in Washington, D.C. Jordan’s interdisciplinary body of work represents the unseen and petitions our collective healing by exploring visual interpretations of spiritual identity and non-linear experience.

While Rhema Jordan’s work exists in the mediums of traditional and experiential sound, poetry, and design, her painting practice lives at the forefront. In her paintings, she materializes gestural forms and written language, using primarily oil, pastels, and ink. Jordan’s work shares visual and philosophical feedback on how our inner-existence is a reflection of our collective reality. Her work explores the belief that there is a continuum space that lives without us, but that calls for our participation and presence.
